(Putrajaya) on 16 Sep 2012

"Parti Gerakan Wanita Selangor" was organizing a trip for the single mothers and their children visit to Putrajaya.  My mom is one of the community member so I joining in in this event. The "Parti" has fund some money for the trip such as hiring tour guide, rent a bus, ticket for riding boat, breakfast, lunch and tupperware. My job covered preparation of breakfast, packing the sweets and biscuit into goodie bag and tupperware as well as photographer. Sometime, when their mom not free, I event become babysitter but luckily, most of the children are not hard to take care.

The activity on that day include riding boat and visiting some famous place such as
1. botanic garden                                             7. Istana Darul Ehsan
2. perdana putra                                               8. Leadership fountain
3. Seri perdana                                                9. Heritage square
4. Putrajaya Ministry of finance                        10. Putra mosque
5. Wisma Putra                                                11. Millennium monument
6. Putrajaya conventional centre                       12. Putrajaya landmark

The purpose of this event is provide them a chance to have a wonderful time with their child, widen their point  of view. A professional tour guide was hired to explain all the history of the building (private and government sector) and also the history of the process of developing whole putrajaya. Hence, they can gain a better knowledge about the federal administrative centre of Malaysia.

The seat of government was slowly shifted in 1999 from KL to Putrajaya due to overcrowding and congestion in KL area. Nevertheless, Kuala Lumpur ermains Malaysia's national capital, being the seat of the King and Parliament, as well as the country's commercial and financial centre. Putrajaya was the brainchild of former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad. In 2001, Putrajaya became Malaysia's third Federal Territory after Kuala Lumpur and Labuan.

At first, they feel sleepy and doesn't expect much on this trip but when they reach the destination, they become super active, keep taking picture and talk here and there. They having a lot of fun during the visit even some of them said they have learn a lot of new things today. For me, I got the opportunity to gain knowledge and further understand the history of Putrajaya when I was performing the community service. Yeah, win win situation.
